So, first of all thanks to everyone who came out to our show (and hung around all night for our late start!) at The Terminal last Saturday. I have to throw a special thanks out to FCab who hung out all night and screamed for more drums! Gotta love fans who love drums and drummers I say! Hope you guys enjoyed your stay in the van in Minneapolis that night!

Over the past couple weeks I've been talking with a few people that are all over Facebook. So, given our lack of skill utilizing MySpace, it seemed logical to try and do a less than average job utilizing Facebook as well.

So, that's exactly what we're going to do! I signed myself up for Facebook to figure out what it's all about. After some poking around, I found 2 ways to promote a band in the Facebook world. I don't know which is better, so I did the logical thing and set up both. So here they are:

The Deadwoods Facebook Page:

The Deadwoods Facebook Group:

If you're a Facebook user, go check em out and become a Fan or a Member. Let us know if you like one or the other better. See you on Facebook!

Dance Your Head

So you may be asking yourself, what's up with "Dance Your Heads"? I can dig it.

My wife and I were group changing my daughter, Lyla's diaper (because, yes, it really takes 2 people sometimes) and Etta wanted to us to be dancing instead. So, she turned on The Current and started dancing around. She couldn't understand why we were not dancing with her. After explaining that we were changing Lyla's diaper, she finally seemed to grasp it. So, persistent as usual, she said: "Dance Your Heads!". Sweet.

Seems sort of appropriate for The Deadwoods. Maybe you don't want to get up and dance, but hey, at least you could Dance Your Head!

In honor of that, here is a picture of Lyla, dancing her head!

Use the little form over there on the right side of the screen to sign up for our email newsletter. It's not really a newsletter since we never really tell anybody what we're doing. It is more of a show notifier. We'll send you an email whenever we have a show coming up. Usually a week or 2 in advance.

Of course, you can always just subscribe to our blog and you'll know that way too. However you like it, we aim to please.

So, it's true. We're back at it. Actually, for the most part we never left, but we just didn't have anything cooking!

We're just working on getting a new website up and running. In the past we always struggled with keeping our site updated so this time around a blog seemed like a good way to go. Since I'm a .net developer by day, BlogEngine.net seemed like a good choice. So, here it is. After some poking around, I think I got it running and looking pretty decent but it's still a work in progress. Please post some comments and let us know what you think!

We just got started again a month or 2 ago, but we're actively looking for gigs. So if you need a band to fill up a night somewhere, drop us an email.
