Here is a radio advertisement for our upcoming show in Bemidji at Lazy Jack's this weekend. It's always funny hearing your name in that announcer guy's voice!

So, as posted earlier, on Saturday June 26th in the beautiful northwoods of Minnesota in a little town called Bemidji, we'll be playing a bar known as Lazy Jack's. We've got some wives and family members that will be once again walking 60 miles in August in the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We played here last year and it turned out great, so you don't want to miss it this time around!
We attempted to get the band back together and bring our original bass player, Jason, back into the fold but unfortunately we just couldn't work it out due to a bunch of scheduling challenges. So, we'll instead have a guy by the name of Dan Perusse playing bass with us. He's a great guy, a pretty damn good player and he likes to drink beer - so he meets all the pre-requisites!
If you are coming, here is a post from last year about places to stay. And there are really a lot more places, but better call soon to get your spot reserved!
If you can't make it, please consider donating some money anyways! They need all the support you can affort to provide - even if it's just a little - every little bit counts.
We hope to see you there!

So we're on a mission from God and we're getting the band back together!
- The mission is once again raising money for breast cancer.
- The band, of course, is The Deadwoods and will include our original bass player Jason Alexander!
- The location is Lazy Jack's in Bemidji, MN.
- The time is Saturday June 26th, 2010!
We need your support and the crazy women that we know who are walking 60 miles in 3 days need your cash money! So come out and enjoy a crazy good time while helping a crazy good cause
Do it.
We'll post more details soon, but just wanted to get this out there so you all can mark the weekend on your calendars and get ready to go north!
If you can't make it, please consider donating some money anyways!

So, it's been pretty quiet around here lately. Yeah, turns out our last post was a bit premonitory. In that post I said we weren't dead that that we were a band even! Turns out, not so much. At least for the moment anyways.
Back in November, shortly after our last gig at the Terminal Bar, our bass player decided to hang it up. He lives way down in Chaska or Chanhassan or someplace down on the southwest corner of Minneapolis and we practice up in Coon Rapids. So it was getting to be too much work/driving and not enough having fun/jamming for Mark. Anyways, we don't blame him. Life is a pain in the ass sometimes. We appreciate him hanging with us for as long as he did and we wish him the best. He's a great bass player and a great guy (a pretty rare combination indeed!).
So, Dave, Corey and I are still around but are not actively seeking a new bass player. If something or someone great happens to fall into our laps, we might kick it up again, but for now, we're just winging it. It's quite possible that there will be some cover gigs here and there (my wife intends to walk 60 miles for boobs again this summer and has informed me I better get a band together for the annual summertime fund raiser). So, hopefully I can convince some bass player somewhere to at least jam with us every once in a while!
Anyways, we'll keep you posted and we'll keep this site here to let you know if/when anything changes or if we throw together any gigs. We appreciate all you crazy mf'ers who came out to support us along the way!
